Project DescriptionUpgrade roads infrastructure on and around the Adelaide River to Wadeye corridor, including the Port Keats Road. BenefitsThis project will improve:
- connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets
- freight efficiency, connectivity and travel time
- economic productivity
- road safety
- flood immunity on a key route in the region
FundingThe Australian Government has committed $60 million to the Adelaide River to Wadeye Corridor Upgrade, with the Northern Territory Government committing $15 million. TimetableConstruction on the corridor commenced in mid 2020. Upgrades to the corridor will continue on a rolling basis. |
