Project DescriptionThis project will replace two failed culverts on Florvaille Road near Burketown in Burke Shire. BenefitsThe project will deliver the following benefits:
- improved travel reliability by increasing flood immunity
- improved reliability and efficiency of freight movements, and
- reduced whole-of-life asset management costs, and
- maintaining access to essential services for local communities.
FundingThe Australian Government has committed $1.2 million towards this $1.5 million project. TimetableConstruction commenced in July 2020 and was completed at the end of August 2020. |
