Project Description

This project involves modifying the existing Canberra Light Rail Stage 1 Project to include the design and construction of an additional light rail stop. The Mitchell Light rail stop will be located immediately south of the Sandford Street intersection with Flemington Road.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $6 million. 

Timetable

The project commenced late 2020, and was completed late 2021.

The Mitchell stop is now operational.

This commitment will enable this project to commence one year ahead of schedule.
