Project Description

Upgrade of the Stuart Highway outbound south of the Howard Springs Road intersection.


Benefits include:

  • Improved efficiency and network reliability
  • Improved connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets
  • Improved accessibility and connectivity of road networks
  • Improved road safety for all road users


The Australian Government committed $250,000 towards this $500,000 project, in partnership with the Northern Territory Government.


Construction on the project began in September 2020 and is scheduled to be completed by early 2021.
