The Howard Creek Causeway on Tamborine-Oxenford Road is located approximately 11 kilometres west of Oxenford, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This project will upgrade the Howard Creek Causeway to improve the safety of the road alignment and intersection layout and increase flood immunity for all road users.
The project is expected to improve safety for all road users and increase the flood immunity of the road to provide continuous and safe access.
The Australian Government has committed $8 million towards the $10 million project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced on the project in mid-2021 and is expected to be completed in early 2022.
