Project DescriptionThe Richmond Road Master Plan has identified a range of upgrades to provide a safer and more consistent road environment between Cambridge and Richmond. The project is expected to include shoulder widening to priority locations along Richmond Road, specifically from Prickly Hollow Bridge to the intersection at Grasstree Hill Road. BenefitsUpgrades along the Richmond Road will improve road safety for all road users and improve efficiency and network reliability. FundingThe Australian Government is contributing $5.2 million and the Tasmanian Government $1.3 million to this project. TimetableConstruction commenced in October 2020 and is expected be completed by mid 2021. |
