Project DescriptionThe project will upgrade a high priority section of Glasshouse Mountains Road between the communities of Beerwah and Landsborough. The project will widen the existing road, install a wide centerline to separate opposing traffic flows, provide right-turn lanes at three intersections and provide roadside hazards treatments to improve the safety of the road section. BenefitsThe project will deliver improved safety outcomes for all road users. FundingThe Australian Government has committed up to $14.4 million towards this project. TimetableConstruction is expected to commence in mid 2021, with completion expected by mid 2022, weather permitting. |
