This project will upgrade the intersection of the Carnarvon Highway and Castlereagh Highway. Upgrades include road realignment, pavement rehabilitation, widening lanes and shoulders and improving the intersection geometry.
- Improved safety by upgrading pavement, lane and shoulder width
- Improved freight connectivity
- Increased resilience of infrastructure
- Improved reliability and efficiency of freight movements
The Australian Government has committed $2.7 million to this project.
Construction commenced in early 2021 and is expected to be completed by late 2021, weather permitting.
