Project DescriptionThe Project proposes to address congestion and safety related issues between the Gateway Motorway interchange (where the motorway meets the Bruce Highway and the Gympie Arterial Road) and the Dohles Rocks Road intersection on the Bruce Highway. BenefitsThis Project will improve safety, and reduce congestion and travel times. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $19.25 million towards planning activities to inform the delivery of this Project.
These planning activities and future construction works for this project will be funded with the Queensland Government on an 80:20 basis. TimetableWhile planning is currently under way to inform the delivery schedule, it is expected that construction will commence in late 2025 and be completed by late 2031, weather permitting. |
