Project Description

This project involves the completion of John Gorton Drive and the construction of a new 227.5 metre bridge crossing over the Molonglo River.

It will support significant land releases in Molonglo, including the full development of Denman Prospect, Whitlam and the Molonglo Commercial Centre.

It will also improve traffic safety and accessibility for west Canberra.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $87.5 million towards the project, with the ACT Government committing $87.5 million, bringing the total project funding commitment to $175 million.

Timetable

Construction is expected to commence mid 2023 and be completed by late 2025.
