Project Description

This project will undertake scoping work to develop a prioritised program of future projects on the Western Highway, between Stawell and the South Australian Border, in Victoria.


The project is expected to scope and develop projects which will improve safety for all road users, and improve transport network efficiency and productivity.


The Australian Government is fully funding the project as part of the Roads of Strategic Importance Initative.


Construction commenced in mid-2021 and is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
