This project involves scoping and investigation works for upgrades on the Alice Springs to Halls Creek Roads of Strategic Importance (ROSI) corridor, including design, resource and geotechnical investigations, clearances and other preparatory works for future projects on the corridor.
The scoping and investigation works will inform the delivery of future projects on the Alice Springs to Halls Creek ROSI corridor.
This project will inform the delivery of future projects on the Alice Springs to Halls Creek ROSI corridor providing preparation and an evidence base for the following benefits:
- Improved transport efficiency and connectivity
- Improved accessibility and social equity
- Improved road safety
The Australian Government will contribute $3.3 million towards this $4.1 million project.
Scoping and investigation activities started in January 2021 and are expected to be completed by mid 2026.
