This project will deliver a new rest area at Sandy Hollow along the Golden Highway, to facilitate use by heavy vehicles.
This project will increase safety for all road users, by supporting improved fatigue management for heavy vehicle operators along the corridor. It will also support economic growth and improve amenity in Sandy Hollow by removing trucks from the town's main street.
The Australian Government has committed $6 million to this project.
This project is expected to commence construction in late 2022 and be completed by mid 2023.
