Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Switchback Road, Chirnside Park - 118903-22VIC-RTR
The roadway is a collector road that carries significant volumes of through and local traffic. The existing sealed road has deteriorated significantly, with cracking, potholes and surface deformations. Rehabilitation of the road will improve the safety and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.Approximately 360m of road is to be foam-bitumen stabilised and approximately 100m of kerb and channel is to be installed.
Beresford Road, Lilydale - 118902-22VIC-RTR
The roadway is a collector road that serves a major industrial estate within the Shire. The road carries significant traffic volumes including a high proportion of commercial vehicles. The existing road pavement has deteriorated significantly, with cracking, potholes and surface deformations, and is in need of full pavement rehabilitation. Rehabilitating the road will improve the safety for road users and reduce maintenance costs.Approximately 600m road pavement is to be rehabilitated.

Cotlew Street, Southport - 118889-22QLD-RTR
The intersection has insufficient capacity under current traffic volumes and the existing multi-lane roundabout is hazardous for pedestrians and cyclists.Installation of a new signalised intersection to replace the existing roundabout at Wardoo Street and Cotlew Street to address safety and capacity issues. Provision of safe crossings will facilitate walking and cycling in this area. This work also incorporates the road reconstruction at Cotlew Street, Eastbound and Westbound (Wardoo St to Benowa Rd) and Cotlew Street Westbound (Wardoo St to Parasol St). Scope of works includes slip lanes on three approaches to the intersection to improve traffic flow safety; better pedestrian connectivity with DDA compliant crossings on all legs of the intersection; dedicated cycle lanes through the intersection; and improved road surface and amenity on Cotlew Street (between Parasol Street and Benowa Road) including a widened footpath and on-road bike lanes.Total cost of proposed project is $20,500,000

Rutted Pavement, Pavement Cracks, old paved Kerb and Channel profile distorted creating drainage issue. i.e. ponding on the roadway.Full pavement reconstruction including new Kerb & Channel.
