Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Ooldea Road, Maralinga Tjarutja (Rural Road) - 103256-19SA-RTR
These arterial dirt roads require regular maintenance and restoration work to rectify natural deterioration. The roads have severe to moderate potholing corrugation and rutting in various sections.Grading and other remedial work including filling holes, clearing roadside and road surface vegetation. Total 70km

The roads have severe to moderate potholing in various parts as well as significant corrugation and rutting. In addition some parts of the road are seriously overgrown with roadside vegetation.Grading and other remedial work including filling holes, clearing roadside and road surface vegetation. Total 70km
Lake Dey Dey, Maralinga Tjarutja (Rural Road) - 103258-19SA-RTR
The road has severe to moderate potholing in various parts as well as significant corrugation and rutting. In addition some parts of the road are seriously overgrown with roadside vegetation. These problems represent significant safety hazards for road users including Oak Valley community members, service providers, tourists and other travellers due to the poor condition of the road and increased risk of collision with camels and other large animals emerging from the overgrown parts of roadsides.Grading and other remedial work including filling holes, clearing roadside and road surface vegetation. Burns Creek Road (Rural Road) - 103280-19TAS-RTR
The existing timber bridge requires replacement due to major rot.New concrete bridge deck, abutments and substructure to be installed. This will reinstate the load limit to 44 Tonne. The bridge currently has a 10 Tonne load limit with major logging companies in the area that require use of the bridge.Total cost of proposed project is $245,167
Cimitiere Street, Launceston, - 103279-19TAS-RTR
Geotechnical investigations have shown that there is limited pavement material beneath 100mm asphalt layer. High silt and clay content which has caused ongoing pavement failures which have been largely dealt with via surface reseal. Road requires full reconstruction with a fully designed pavement for the heavy vehicle loading on the road segment between Tamar and Lawrence.Replace pavement sub base, pavement base, surface. Raise the kerb and replace footpath seal on both sides of the road segment. New sub soil drains are required to protect new the pavement and new stormwater infrastructure will be installed to service the sub soil drain as existing stormwater infrastructure will not be deep enough.Total cost of proposed project is $1,870,701

Tarnook Road (Rural) - 103300-19VIC-RTR
Road surface is deteriorating through loss of stone and oxidation and has cracking and potholes that are becoming a hazard and allowing water to penetrate through to the subbase in order to preserve the asset.Reseal of prepared surface with new bitumen material
