Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Behn-Ord Road (Rural Road) - 127412-24WA-RTR
The existing seal is 4.8 m wide. The road surface has deteriorated due to heavy haulage vehicles and farm equipment using this road. The road is on a school bus route.Reconstruction of failed section of road and sealing to a width of 4.8 m. Cleaning out of culverts and installation of new guideposts.Total cost of proposed project is $63,183

River Drive, East Wardell - 127428-24NSW-RTR
An old pavement and seal has failed, showing pavement rutting and shoving with significant heavy patching, which requires high maintenance resources.Reconstruction of the pavement and seal for a length of approximately 270 metres with a seal width of approximately 7 metres including stormwater replacement (approximately 10 metres).
Andersen Ave, Urraween - 127502-24QLD-RTR
This road is exhibiting a high frequency of pavement failures including rutting, shoving and cracking resulting in high levels of roughness, exacerbated by ground water penetration.Road reconstruction including the removal of existing pavement, construction of new gravel pavement and asphalt surfacing. - Council is funding the balance from general rates.Total cost of proposed project is $1,900,000
Tongarra Road - 053237-14NSW-RTR
There is no formal kerb and gutter along this section of road. Road Shoulder is currently unsealed. This section of road is in front of a school and church which makes this road/ shoulder a highly trafficked area. Once works have been undertaken it will produce a more formal and safe road.Formalise aproximatly 500m2 of the road shoulder, including asphalt seal and the construction of 183m of kerb and gutter.
Boundary Rd, Urangan - 127498-24QLD-RTR
This intersection is no longer performing at sufficient capacity and is compromising the safety of road users, including parents dropping off/collecting students, pedestrians and cyclists.Intersection upgrade includes installation of traffic signals, approach works to align with the future four-laning of Boundary Road and service relocations. Council is funding the balance from general rates.Total cost of proposed project is $3,500,000
First Street, Katherine - 127419-24NT-RTR
To improve pedestrian safety and traffic operations, including heavy vehicles, on First Street to aid access to the Katherine Central Shopping Centre. Significantly reducing traffic congestion, decreasing risk of collision with cars and pedestrians, creating clearer wayfinding signage, minimising confusion and reducing speeds, facilitating easier and better defined movement for both pedestrian and drivers.Construction of new access for heavy vehicles: this will separate commercial vehicle traffic from the general car park traffic. Construction of new driveway access. Narrowing of existing driveway to suit cars only. Raised pedestrian crossing along First Street and within the car park. Signage, line marking, and other traffic calming devices, pedestrian islands, lighting, and warning signs where required. Co-contribution funding - Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Phase 4 $166,499 approved.Total cost of proposed project is $350,000
