Charlton Esplanade, Hervey Bay - 051468-13QLD-RTR
Deterioration of existing wearing surface would lead to water ingress into the pavement thereby causing pavement failureAsphalt Dense Graded Corrector Course and an Asphalt Dense Graded Road Resurfacing
Wattle Avenue, Mandurah - 051469-13WA-RTR
The existing pavement wearing course has deteriorated to the extent where it is no longer considered serviceable. Extensive patching, stripping and localised surface defects exist across the entire road segment. The surface no longer performs its intended function of preventing moisture ingress into the unbound pavement base layers. Resurfacing is required to ensure the pavement structure is not compromised and the road can reach its intended design life.Apply 25mm AC10 Hotmix Asphalt resurfacing treatment as per extent of works shown on locality diagram. Raise existing drainage pits to match new surface levels where required.Total cost of proposed project is $17,338
Wentworth Street, Shellharbour - 051470-13NSW-RTR
This section of road carries traffic to schools, shops and the beach. The underlying pavement has failed under heavy traffic due to subdivision construction. The road driving surface has cracked and rutted, the surface holds water for many hours after a rain event, it is a school zone and this makes the the road unsafe.Remove isolated areas of failed wearing surface and pavement material (approx 720M2), replace with 20mm asphalt (3180M2) then apply a 40mm thick asphalt overlay to the total road segment.Total cost of proposed project is $79,481

Various sections need work to address the drainage and flood water runoff including problems with road heights and bunding. Sections also need reconstructing and resheeting whilst there. Water is currently flowing across sections of road causing erosion and road damage. Improvements will detour the water away from the road.Works will be undertaken on a section starting 4.6km south of the intersection with the Beringarra-Byro Road and include work on two floodways to box them out and cement reinforce. Sections of the road will be reformed and gravel sheeted and one 500mt section will be reconstructed to allow the height of the road to be raised and a contour bank installed to allow water to be diverted away from the road. The works will improve the drainage and cause less damage to the roads in future weather events. The road is a gravel road with a 6 metre carriageway throughout the work area with widths increasing to 7 m through the floodways.Total cost of proposed project is $403,005
