Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The existing surface is old and brittle. It is affected by cracks, pavement failures and old repair patches. Some sections of kerb and gutter have been damaged and displaced by tree roots.The proposed work includes repair of displaced and damaged sections of kerb and gutter, repair of failed pavement areas and resurfacing of the road with asphalt. Length = 340 m; Width = 11 m; Area = 3740 m2.
Third Avenue - 114141-20NSW-RTR
The existing road surface is affected by various surface defects that include cracking, delamination and disintegration of asphalt and structural pavement failures. Some sections of kerb and gutter have been damaged.The proposed work includes repair of damaged sections of kerb and gutter, repair of pavement failures by patching and resurfacing of the road with asphalt. Length = 220 m; Width = 8.2 m; Area = 1804 m2

Assets Condition Assessment indicates requirement of reseal and pavement work.Resurface existing road surface: - Remove existing road surface - Replace 3,200 sqm with asphalt AC14mmDG - Renew the traffic loops on James StTotal cost of proposed project is $151,287
Murray St, Perth, Western Australian 6000 - 114086-20WA-RTR
Roads Condition Assessment indicates minor reseal work to prevent further deterioration in road seal and pavement condition.Resurface existing road surface and reconstruct pavement layer - Remove 184 sqm concrete pavers and replace with black asphalt DGA 14 - Remove 372 Sqm black Asphalt and replace with DGA 14 - Remove 80 sqm red bike lanes and replace with like for like SMA10 - Remove 70 m flush precast concrete kerbing adjacent to cycle path and concrete pavers - Reconstruct 184 sqm road pavement underneath pavers. Seek design treatment but consider replacing with 50mm black asphalt - Prime the top of the limestone (anionic emulsion). Construct an asphalt levelling/corrector layer using AC10 (if less than 50mm required) or AC14 (if 50mm and more required), followed by two 50mm thick AC14 layers.Total cost of proposed project is $75,945

The road formation and seal is narrow and the road pavement is in poor condition with seal cracking, edge drops and potholes an ongoing problem.Rehabilitation of the road to widen and strengthen the pavement, providing an 8m seal on a 10m pavement and good drainage throughout.
