Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Kent Road pavement has extensive failure to approximately 50% of the area. Kerb and gutter has failed for approximately 20% of the length. Pavement length is 450m and average width is 8.0mRehabilitation of the pavement by heavy patching, profiling and resurfacing. Pavement degradation has resulted in hazardous conditions for road users and the lack of sufficient material has made it difficult for the road crews to adequately maintain the road.Reshaping of road including the addition of 75mm of gravel, reforming shoulders and drains.

Existing gravel surface inadequate for current all weather commercial traffic requirements.Gravel Resheet in accordance with Asset Maintenance Strategy
Grass Patch Road (Rural Road) - 114558-21WA-RTR
The road surface is nearing the end of its useful life, with cracking and minor potholes starting to appear.A reconstruction and widening is required to ensure that the road surface can continue to be driven on safely.

The existing road surface has cracked and is starting to pothole due to it reaching the end of it's useful life.Overlay with 25mm asphalt is required to ensure that the road surface can continue to be driven on safely.Total cost of proposed project is $452,200

Old Coast Road, North Mackville - 114589-21NSW-RTR
As a result of the new Pacific Motorway construction, Old Coast Road was realigned and reconstructed in several locations with a sealed road. With the higher standard of road constructed in sections of Old Coast Road, there is increasing community pressure to upgrade the remaining sections to a sealed road standard. Nambucca Valley Council has received grant funding to upgrade several sections, to a sealed road standard, during 2020/21. The completion of this last section of unsealed road, will complete the whole length of road with a sealed surface. This will also provide an alternate route to the new Macksville Hospital located on Darruya Road that was constructed after the completion of the new Pacific Motorway.Trim and shape existing gravel pavement and provide gravel where needed. Add a 2 coat bitumen seal surface.
Wilson Road, Bowraville - 114583-21NSW-RTR
Wilson road is a major transport link between Macksville and Bowraville. The sealed road is subject to wear from significant local traffic and by the impacts of changing weather conditions. There is continuous demand to repair to damaged areas. The road is currently in poor condition and is scheduled for renewal in Council’s Asset Management Plan.Rehabilitate the length of road between London Lane and the end of a segment nearing the intersection with Carbin Street, Bowraville. Length 2.25km
