Project description

As a result of the new Pacific Motorway construction, Old Coast Road was realigned and reconstructed in several locations with a sealed road. With the higher standard of road constructed in sections of Old Coast Road, there is increasing community pressure to upgrade the remaining sections to a sealed road standard. Nambucca Valley Council has received grant funding to upgrade several sections, to a sealed road standard, during 2020/21. The completion of this last section of unsealed road, will complete the whole length of road with a sealed surface. This will also provide an alternate route to the new Macksville Hospital located on Darruya Road that was constructed after the completion of the new Pacific Motorway.

Trim and shape existing gravel pavement and provide gravel where needed. Add a 2 coat bitumen seal surface.
