The Australian Government is committed to a 10-year, over $120 billion infrastructure investment pipeline, ensuring a rolling program of sustainable land transport infrastructure projects.

The Government is working in partnership with states and territories to deliver a credible and sustainable pipeline of projects which support a range of economic and social objectives, including productivity and resilience, sustainability and liveability.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Ipswich to Springfield Options Analysis
Under the South East Queensland City Deal, the project delivered a Preliminary Evaluation for a public transport corridor between Ipswich Central and Springfield Central via Ripley and Redbank Plains. 
Chitty Road (Rural Road) - 118751-21WA-RTR
This section is gravel sheeted and unsealed road. The road condition has deteriorated causing corrugation and a high level of maintenance is required to keep the road to a safe standard. Sealing of the road will improve traffic safety.To construct and seal Chitty Road to a 6 metre wide seal. Improve road drainage and add delineation.
Tresco West Road (Tresco West) - 118551-21VIC-RTR
Failed pavement and narrow seal. Increased truck usage means narrow seal is now unsuitable causing many customer complaints.It is proposed to widen the seal 3.8m to 6.2m seal and 2m shoulders.

Lack of material and shapeResheet segment with 100mm limestone to 6m width over length of 1.7km
Shadbolt Road (rural road) - 118555-21VIC-RTR

Denison Street, Bondi Junction - 118757-21NSW-RTR
Cracked, potholed and deteriorated road surface.Mill existing wearing course, repair failed areas with heavy patching, replace wearing course with new asphalt re-sheet.
Smith Street, Henty - 118622-21NSW-RTR
Pavement is in poor condition and drainage is inadequate.Reconstruct road and improve drainage and apply a bitumen seal for longevity.
Federation Funding Agreement Schedule on Land Transport Infrastructure Projects
The Federation Funding Agreement Schedule on Land Transport Infrastructure Projects 2024-2029 (FFAS) governs Commonwealth funding provided for land transport infrastructure that the Commonwealth invests in partnership with the states. The Notes on Administration (NoA) provide administrative guidance for managing projects to be funded under the FFAS. Further information is available here.
