Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Mitchell Road, Preston Beach - 118950-22WA-RTR
This section of the road passes by the only general store and fuel bowser in Preston Beach. These facilities are very popular with visitors to the area. In particular off-road vehicle owners, who use the facilities to reinflate their tyres after driving on the beach. Resulting in banked up traffic lining up on both Mitchell Street and Panorama Drive. In addition to holiday makers cars and tour buses, who park in an ad hoc manner along the adjacent road verges, blocking the line of sight for oncoming traffic. increasing the risk to the large number of pedestrians coming across the roadways to access the general store. There are no directional controls in and out of the shops parking area, which has two exits. One driveway goes out onto Mitchell Road and one driveway goes onto Panorama Drive. It is also common for drivers travelling along Mitchell Road to be driving at speeds in excess of 50 kilometres an hour.To install traffic calming and directional lines.Total cost of proposed project is $37,010

Bitumen seal is wearing in various locations and is beginning to damage. Stone from the seal has been lost and has begun exposing the bitumen layer making it prone to pot holes and cracking.It is proposed to renew the bitumen seal on as much of the length of the nominated section of road as possible and install median strip treatments where required.Total cost of proposed project is $467,432
Woodlands Road, Taren Point - 118741-21NSW-RTR
Road Pavement surface is significantly potholed and cracked; surface layer is severely oxidised and resurfacing of wearing surface is needed.Full width (7.2m) road pavement resurfacing for 480m length. Works include mill and fill of pavement surface with 40mm thick asphalt concrete.
North Barham Road (rural road) - 118583-21NSW-RTR
Road is too narrow to cater for heavy vehicles resulting in vehicular conflicts.Improve road super-elevation around bend plus signage and linemarking. It is proposed to widen and seal the road to 8.0m width.Total cost of proposed project is $576,732
Bunnaloo Road (rural road) - 118581-21NSW-RTR
Road is too narrow for heavy vehicles resulting in vehicular conflicts.It is proposed to widen and seal the road to 8.0m wide.Total cost of proposed project is $1,154,163
Speewa Road (rural road) - 118580-21NSW-RTR
Road is too narrow for heavy vehicles resulting in vehicular conflicts.It is proposed to widen and seal to 8.0m width and flatten the road batters.Total cost of proposed project is $1,052,815
Brimson Road (Rural road) - 118965-22WA-RTR
Sections of the roadside drainage require improvements and the the existing pavement is thin,potholed and corrogated. these improvments to the running surface will provide a safer a safer all weather road.Reconstruct and improve the roadside drainage, gravel re-sheet 3.99 kilometers to a 8 meter width to a finished pavement depth of 250 mm.
