Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Woods Street, Newport - 132970-25VIC-RTR
Cracking has occurred at many locations along the street and the road pavement surface is breaking up. The pavement has also lost shape with significant failures and requires full reconstruction to address failures and loss of shape and safety risk to all users. Kerb and channel have subsided along the length of street and holds water in many locations. The kerb and channel require reconstruction and new drainage installed.Works involve kerb and channel replacement, installation of new drainage and full width rehabilitation of road pavement and asphalt re-sheet to current standards. The project is not fully funded by Roads to Recovery, with the balance of budget funded by Council’s 2025/26 Capital Works Program.Total cost of proposed project is $1,050,000

Un-graveled pavement that is impacted by wet weather reducing access to the road network.Gravel sheeting 150mm
Warringa Crescent, Hoppers Crossing - 133055-25VIC-RTR
• The road pavement has exceeded its design life and begun to show signs of failure, that are beyond the scope of preventive maintenance. • The existing kerb and channel has been subjected to environmental movement and is holding water in a number of locations. • Investigations have also highlighted locations of failed sections of underground drainage that requires reconstruction and remediation. • Pedestrian safety concerns around the existing configuration of the school crossing along Warringa Crescent.• Reconstruction of the road pavement • Reconstruction of the kerb and channel on both sides of the road • Reconstruction of vehicle crossings • Reconstruction footpaths • Reconstruction of nature strips • Various methods of drainage remediation • Reconstruct the school crossing to meet current standards. • Install a Raised Safety Platform at the intersection of Warringa Crescent and Wiltonvale Avenue. The balance of the funding for this project is being sourced form Council Cash, from the 2025/26 Road Reconstruction Program, which has been incorporated into Council’s Annual Plan and Budget for 2025/26 as approved and adopted by Council on 24th June 2025.Total cost of proposed project is $1,073,096
Yabba Road - Tallandon (Rural Area) - 133056-25VIC-RTR
The bridge is close to its useful life and in one of the busiest roads in Towong Shire Council. Yabba Road is classified as a link road. This project refers to replacement of the bridge to ensure serviceability, safety and appropriate environmental management.Design and Replacement of the bridge
Quambatook Road, Kunat - 133058-25VIC-RTR
Aging pavement and seal nearing end of life and road widening to allow for better heavy vehicle access. Road rehabilitation and road widening
Brockman Avenue, Paraburdoo - 132633-25WA-RTR
End of life of bitumen. Plane and asphalt seal.
Swinburne Avenue (East Side), Gisborne - 132978-25VIC-RTR
Poor condition pavement, seal, road beyond maintenance and requires rehabilitation. Improve Drainage issues by renewing Kerb on east sideFull depth Pavement reconstruction with asphalt wearing course, including Kerb and Channel renewal, Kerb laybacks and road widening. The works is being carried out while the subdivision works are being carried out on 89 Ross Watt Road to have a uniform pavement in Swinburne Avenue. Swinburne Avenue is being widened on the west side as part of the subdivision works, and the upgrade in existing road on eastside of Swinburne Avenue is proposed to be funded under Roads to Recovery Program for a uniform pavement.
Nelson Street, Smithton - 132295-25TAS-RTR
Road seal is in a deteriorated condition and requires renewal It is proposed to resurface the road by providing a new bitumen seal
Irishtown Road (Rural road) - 132297-25TAS-RTR
Pavement has failed leaving defects and causing road safety issues Insitu stabilisation of the existing pavement with cement binder. The remainder of the funding will be from Council reserves.
York Street, Subiaco - 053810-14WA-RTR
Reflective pavement cracking as a result of the pavement fatigue failure and ageing of bitumen.Profiling the existing road pavement by 20mm and replacing with 25-30 mm Dense Graded Asphalt. Total Length - 520 metres, Average pavement width- 6.0 metres, Total Pavement Area- 3120 m2Total cost of proposed project is $122,400
