Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Kenthurst Road, Kenthurst - 067827-16NSW-RTR
This is a busy rural road with approximately 4,000VPD with high maintenance needs. Due to unsealed shoulders, there are significant pavement defects close to the edge of the pavement and also in the traffic lanesIt is proposed to do deep lift AC patching to improve the structural capacity of the road pavement to cope with high volume of traffic. This will improve safety and reduce reactive maintenance.Total cost of proposed project is $114,488
Seven Hills Road, Baulkham Hills - 067828-16NSW-RTR
This is a very busy urban road connecting two state roads. Traffic volume is approximately 21,000VPD. The road has problem with severe pavement defects due to very old AC surface. There are also two public schools along this road.It is proposed to mill and fill long sections of pavement with heavy duty asphalt to improve structural capacity and safetyTotal cost of proposed project is $675,000
Snelson Street, Cobar - 067829-16NSW-RTR
The sealed road has reached the end of its economical life with many surface failures.Reseal approximately 400 metres of sealed road - 4,000 square metres.
Highs Road, West Pennant Hills - 067830-16NSW-RTR
This road is a moderately busy urban road. It is a heavily used by buses and some commercial traffic. The pavement has cracking and base layer faulier requiring deep lift AC patchingIt is proposed to remove failed pavement by undertaking deep lift AC patching which will reduce reactive maintenance and improve safetyTotal cost of proposed project is $372,316
Withers Road, Beamount Hills - 067831-16NSW-RTR
This is a busy urban road with approximately 12,000VPD requiring high maintenance. Due to wear and tear this road needs to resurface as it displays minor cracking and potholing right throughIt is proposed to mill surface cracking and undertake minor patching followed by full width resurfacing of the pavement within the work location mentioned above.Total cost of proposed project is $331,834
Cape Wickham Road, (Rural Road) - 067834-16TAS-RTR
Traffic has increased significantly on Cape Wickham Road, especially tourism traffic. With the extra traffic it leads to increased maintenance and becoming a safety concern for unexperienced gravel road drivers. Parts of Cape Wickham Road are sealed, with the proposed project it will see the entire road sealed.Sealing 6.2km of Cape Wickham Road. In certain parts widening and drainage works will also be completed.Total cost of proposed project is $524,013
Wattle Road - 067835-16NSW-RTR
Left wheel track has failed on this very highly trafficked road, showing signs of extreme cracking and depressions. Considered unsafe during rain events.Remove existing driving surface and pavement material and replace pavement material with 170mm of 20mm asphalt the driving surface with 70mm of 14mm asphalt.
Southern Brook Road (rural road) - 067837-16WA-RTR
Deteriorated road surface due to heavy vehicular traffic causing loss of gravel and surface materials.Resheeting with gravel 200mm thickness.
Bulgin Road (rural road) - 067838-16WA-RTR
Deteriorated road surface due to heavy vehicular traffic causing loss of gravel and other road surface materials.Resheeting with gravel to depth of 200mmTotal cost of proposed project is $268,534
Kitoba Road, Kitoba (Rural Road) - 067839-16QLD-RTR
This section of road is sealed. Continued deterioration of pavement, high cost to regular maintenance as a consequence of its location to Murgon.Remove old bitumen from subgrade to agreed cross fall than overlay with .170mm of 3.2 type gravel and seal
