Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Carnarvon Mullewa Road (Rural Road) - 094602-17WA-RTR
The surface is prone to damage by heavy transport vehicles and also prone to damage following weather events. Second seal to improve the surface durability, preserve the road structure and providing a safer surface for road users.Sealing with 10mm aggregate over 14mm aggregate. To protect the primer seal, need to put a 10mm seal over the 14mm primer seal. The over seal process helps to seal the road and to prevent water from leaking through and causing potholes.

Murray Road, Christmas Island - 094623-17WA-RTR
Current seal is worn out.Re-sealing to be carried out at the above location.
Cobra Dairy Creek (Rural Road) - 094628-17WA-RTR
These sections of road were only formed from existing materials and has degraded to such a state that the road is unsafe and unsustainable.Re-sheet and water bind the above mentioned sections to nine metres to improve safety and all weather access.
Ilparran Road (rural) - 094629-17NSW-RTR
Poor road condition due to general wear and tear and increased heavy vehicle traffic.(1) 2.5 kilometers of 2 meter widening, followed by resealing. (2) 660 meters of gravel reconstruction, followed by sealing. A total of 3.16 kilometers of reconstruction, rehabilitation, and widening.
Coronation Avenue, Glen Innes. - 094630-17NSW-RTR
Very poor road condition, road seal cracking and falling apart, drainage issues, and general wear and tear.Extensive heavy patching followed by resealing, over a total of 13,000 square meters.
Baldy Top Access Road (rural Rd) - 094631-17QLD-RTR
The existing intersection was placed dangerously close to a crest. This work will move the intersection to a safer location but necessitate construction of a new road. Additionally, tourist facilities at Baldy Top will be upgraded.Relocation of intersection and construction of a new gravel road.Total cost of proposed project is $450,000
Napoleon Road (rural Rd) - 094632-17QLD-RTR
Previous intersection is in an unsuitable location with minimal visibility.Relocate intersection about 200 meters along the road to straighten road and improve visibility when entering onto the Old Charleville Road .
