Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Barkly Stock Route (Rural Road) - 051960-14NT-RTR
The Barkly Stock Route is extensively used by heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties on the Barkly Tablelands. Many areas in the wet season are difficult to cross during wet. Construction of a floodway will improve accessibility.Construct reinforced concrete floodway to improve drainage.
Kurundi Road (Rural Road) - 051961-14NT-RTR
The Kurundi Road supports the pastoral proprieties, aboriginal communities and tourists with the Davenport parks. The crossings become impassable to cross in the wet season. Concrete floodways will improve accessibility.Construct 2 concrete floodways to improve drainage.
Calvert Road (Rural Road) - 051962-14NT-RTR
The Calvert Road is extensively used by the heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties, mining and aboriginal communities and is used as an alternative route to Queensland. Many creeks crossing and floodways in the wet season are difficult to cross. Concrete floodways will improve the accessibility.Construct 2 reinforced concrete floodways to improve drainage.
Ernest Giles Road (Rural Road) - 051963-14NT-RTR
The Ernest Giles Road is a vital link for the pastoral industry, indigenous communities and tourism. The road is unsealed and has poor drainage and height in most sections and regularly closes during wet periods.Lift and gravel resheet various sections between the work location.
Clinton Road (rural road) - 051964-14SA-RTR
The road is currently unsealed and subject to a large volume of local and tourist traffic, including heavy vehicle movements as it provides access to a number of primary producer properties. This traffic impacts on the existing unsealed surface which requires periodical grading to ensure surface integrity.Upgrading unsealed road to sealed road standard - 1000m x 8m wide - 14/7mm2 coat bitumen sealTotal cost of proposed project is $327,000
Willowra Road (Rural Road) - 051965-14NT-RTR

Horseshoe Bend Road (Rural Road) - 051966-14NT-RTR
The Horseshoe Bend road provides a vital access for 4 pastoral properties, tourism and indigenous living areas. The road is unsealed and low in height in most sections. Lift and regravelling will improve the access.Lift and gravel resheet various sections between work location.
