Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Lilli Pilli Drive, Southport - 116350-21QLD-RTR
This intersection has had a number of casualty crashes over recent years and requires reconfiguration of the intersection to a single lane roundabout to improve road safety.Upgrade of the Lili Pili Drive / Coolibah Street / Tongarra Street priority controlled four-way intersection. The upgrade includes reconfiguration of the intersection to a single lane roundabout.
Christine Avenue, Burleigh Waters - 116349-21QLD-RTR
In the peak periods, traffic queues back through the Bermuda Street intersection. Works aim to resolve this queuing issue along Christine Avenue to Bermuda Street.Intersection upgrade to improve the eastbound capacity of Christine Ave between Bermuda St and Whistler Dr. Works include installation of an additional through lane and bicycle lane by modifying the central median, partial signalisation of the Cassowary Dr and Christine Ave intersection and improvements for pedestrians and cyclists.

Desert Creek Road (Rural Road) - 116322-21QLD-RTR

Pickering Street, Enoggera - 116313-21QLD-RTR
The intersection of Pickering Street and Hurdcotte St intersection is identified as a location for an upgrade to improve pedestrian safety. Pickering Street is classified as a suburban road under the Brisbane City Plan 2014 and provides a connection from the Samford Road to South Pine Road carrying approximately 13,000 vehicles per day. There is limited safe pedestrian crossing points on Pickering River, along with the high volume traffic makes it difficult for pedestrians to find a break in the traffic to cross the road safely to the nearby Hillbrook Anglican School, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School and Gaythorne train station.Install a signalised pedestrian crossing to improve safety and connectivity for pedestrians, civil works, install traffic lights and associated drainage works and footpath improvements.Total cost of proposed project is $1,307,399
Fig Tree Pocket Road/Kenmore Road - 116311-21QLD-RTR
The Fig Tree Pocket Road and Kenmore Road Intersection in Fig Tree Pocket is currently priority-controlled with 'Give way' signage on Fig Tree Pocket(Southern leg) and Errogie Place is restricted to left turn movements only. The intersection accommodates approximately 21,000 vehicles and 58 pedestrians per day, experiencing significant queuing and traffic delays during the peak periods with safety issues. Numerous safety concerns with turning movements from Fig Tree Pocket Road(southern leg) due to the topography and poor alignment resulting in poor sightlines. The project objective is to improve safety and overall intersection operation for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians by installing traffic lights with dedicated right turn lanes and upgrading pedestrian and cycle facilities at the intersection.Installing traffic signals at the intersection of Fig Tree Pocket and Kenmore Road and Errogie Place, provide a dedicated right turn pockets from Fig Tree Pocket Road into Errogie place and from Kenmore Road into Fig Tree Pocket Road, provide an additional through lane to Kenmore Road, provide an additional pocket on Fig Tree Pocket Road for left/through/right turn movement and provide pedestrian signalised crossing, improving connectivity to the bus stops.Total cost of proposed project is $14,507,452
