Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

The road pavement has deteriorated and shows signs of failure such as depression, cracking and general roughness.The entire section of road pavement will be spray-sealed and appropriately sized stones applied as per Councils maintenance protocols.

The road is increasingly failing in these sections requiring ongoing high maintenance yet insufficiently preserving road safety standards.These sections of road pavement will be rehabilitated as per Councils maintenance protocol.Total cost of proposed project is $466,152
Kayena Road, Kayena - 126694-23TAS-RTR
Road failing due to roadside tree roots encroaching under the pavement. Road is too narrow (5m sealed width) to cater the current traffic volume including tourist traffic.To reconstruct approximately 540m of Kayana Rd from Rowell Rd to Porters Rd. Reconstruction section includes pavement section failed due to roadside tree roots encroached under the pavement, pavement widening from 5m sealed width to 6m, two coat seal, drainage upgrade includes Kerb & Channel construction and associated civil works.Total cost of proposed project is $478,966

Uneven existing road surface.Road reshape/resurface.
Florina Road, Rockhole - 126327-23NT-RTR
Road is heavily damaged consisting of edge breaks, broken shoulders, depressions and experiences heavy erosion and scouring. This is mainly due to water retention after storm events, high velocity run-off. Also there is no overtaking lane at the intersection.All sections work will address and rehabilitate the level of design and reconstruction of the damaged sections to rectify risks of further damages to the road and edge breaks. Section 1 -The proposed work is to Supply and Lay AC14 A15E Asphalt up to a depth of 50mm. This will include ripping up and removal of existing road and reinstate line marking/new line marking. Section 2 - The work proposed by extending existing 50 M slipway entrance to Rockhole Community to 100 M (extending 50 M left turn taper), 50M x 4M wide =200 m2. Supply and Application of Prime Seal @ 1L/m² (200 m2) along with the Supply, Spread and Roll 14mm AMC6 @1.1 L/m2 and 7mm S10E @1.0 L/m2 (Nominal), 50 M x 4 M wide = 200 m2. Reinstating line marking/new line marking. Section 3 - The work will include the shoulder is to be increased by 0.5 M. The work proposed Prime Coat Spray sealing - Rockhole to Helena by Supplying, Spreading and Rolling 14mm Aggregate @ 1.1 L/M² (Nominal) 141 m2. Reinstating line marking/new line marking. Section 4 - Works will include repairing shoulders and putting in an overtaking lane. The work proposed includes an approximate 650 M new Passing Lane, "excluding merge and diverge tapers: 650 M x 0.5 M = 325 m2) Prime Coat Spray sealing by Supplying, Spreading and Rolling 14mm Aggregate @ 1.1 L/M² (Nominal) 325 m2. Reinstating line marking/new line marking.Total cost of proposed project is $368,446
Old Grassy Road (Rural Road) - 053152-14TAS-RTR
The gravel section of Old Grassy Road that is being sealed is worn down to its base level and requires year round maintenance. The sealing of this section of Old Grassy Road will greatly improve tourist access and reduce future maintenance costs on the road.The work proposed is sealing a 2.8km long by 6m wide section of Old Grassy road.Total cost of proposed project is $261,755
Unnamed Road Reserve, Robe, SA, 5276 - referred to as Wrights Bay Lane - 126705-23SA-RTR
Road running surface was potholed and Rough. Recent assessments demonstrated the International Roughness Index was above intervention level and the road requires reconstruction. Road improvements will increase rural road user accessibility inclusive of 1.4 kms or road surface.Rebuild and reseal in some areas.Total cost of proposed project is $51,612
