Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Homestead Road, Orchard Hills - 126737-23NSW-RTR
Homestead Road is a rural road which, according to Council records, was constructed circa 1977. The road has experienced numerous failures with rutting, crocodile cracking and edge break and has been repaired via heavy patching. Due to the age of the road and the increasing traffic volume it is suggested that the existing base materials need to be replaced with full depth asphalt.It is proposed to replace the base material with the asphalt and provide a 50mm asphalt wearing surface. Below is a list of the works proposed to 375m length of road by 6.2m wide: • 50mm AC14 wearing surface • 100mm AC20 baseTotal cost of proposed project is $385,000

Degraded road surface.Resheeting of gravel road, inclusive of water, grade and roll.
Cadogan Road (Rural Road) - 126840-23NT-RTR
Addressing severely degraded sections of road surface.Gravel resheeting, inclusive of water, grade and roll of sections of road requiring repair.
Eurambeen-Streatham Rd, Lake Wongan - 126690-23VIC-RTR
Pavement failure and roughness.Pavement reconstruction including strengthening and application of a new bitumen seal wearing surface.
McLean St, Chiltern - 126770-23VIC-RTR
Existing gravel road has multiple adjoining residences and causes significant dust issues and high levels of maintenanceSupply and place 100mm depth of new crushed rock pavement and apply initial seal treatmentTotal cost of proposed project is $85,000
Echidna Road (Rural Road) - 126841-23NT-RTR
Degraded sections of road pavement.Gravel resheeting of damaged section of road, inclusive of water, grade and roll.
Laharum Rd, (rural road) - 126776-23VIC-RTR
Significant edge drop off due to loss of gravel on the shoulder.Resheet gravel on both shoulders to a width of 2 m on either side to enable adequate width for passing traffic.
Ngalta Street, Umuwa Community - 126779-23SA-RTR
The existing road is unsealed becomes dusty and corrugated in summer and slippery after rain events. Dust generated by traffic lingers, causing health and safety issues for road users and local residents.The work will involve the reconstruction and sealing of the entire length of Ngalta Street. Ngalta Street is 152 metres long by 7 metres wide. The work will mitigate the dust problem and improve accessibility to properties for local residents and service providers.
Brimpaen-Laharum Rd, (rural road) - 126775-23VIC-RTR

Almond Road, Leeton - 053153-14NSW-RTR
Almond Road is cracked and severely potholed. The main problem being addressed is road safety. In particular the interaction betwwen motorists and pedestrians. This project will also fix localised drainage issues in the area.The works include the construction of kerb and gutter from Irrigation Way to Petersham Road. Alomond Road will be rehabilitated, widened and seal. A concrete shared path will be constructed along Almond Road from Irrigation Way to Petersham Road. A round a bout will be constructed at the intersection of Petersham Road and Almond RoadTotal cost of proposed project is $551,459
