Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Bowker Avenue, Lord Howe Island - 127122-23NSW-RTR
Significant failures in the existing area have progressively worsened, making it increasingly challenging to maneuver machinery, such as forklifts, cranes, excavators, and light vehicles, in a safe and efficient manner. These vehicles are essential for delivering services to the local community. If these issues are not addressed promptly, there may be safety risks for local community users. The area is a multi-purpose facility, and its inefficiency could rapidly lead to a decline in infrastructure delivery and maintenance services across the island.The reconstruction of approximately 300 square meters will adhere to the Lord Howe Island Road design specifications. This includes a 150mm cement-stabilized base course, utilizing the existing base layer and supplemented with additional DGB20 as necessary, with cement content at 1.5% by volume. A two-coat seal comprising 10mm and 7mm aggregate will be applied using an emulsion binder.Total cost of proposed project is $213,461
Stephens Road (rural road) - 127121-23WA-RTR
The road is a bus route and it's surface is corrugated and potholed with vegetation on verges obscuring vision. Widening and improving surface rideability will provide a safe linkage for road users.Clearing of road verges to 10m wide, box out formation of base to 8m, gravel resheet surface to 8m

Road pavement is at the end of its life and is breaking up significantly with numerous potholes and sinkholes forming dangerous sections of loose seal.Stabilisation work with reclaimer to meet new pavement depth of 200mm with a percentage of lime and two coat seal.Total cost of proposed project is $259,792
Benjaberring Hindmarsh Road (rural road) - 127058-23WA-RTR
Road pavement deteriorating due to insufficient gravel depth or no gravel resulting in potholes and overly slippery conditions for all traffic.Import gravel, resheet the section with 150mm of gravel, grade and compact. Improve table drains and offshoots as required.
