Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Northern Territory Roads Package - National Network Strengthening and Widening
The National Network Strengthening and Widening project is part of the $77 million Northern Territory Roads Package. The project involved the strengthening and widening of existing pavements, including bitumen resurfacing on sections of the Stuart Highway, Victoria Highway and Barkly Highway approaching the end of their economic life.

Gale Street and Martin Street, Coramba - 133205-25NSW-RTR
Gale Street, Coramba – Segment 1 is from the bridge joint to the existing major patch. The segment length is approximately 336m with a variable width of approximately 11.5m. The scope of works is to renew approximately 4,022m2 of the existing pavement by in-situ stabilisation to a nominal depth sufficient to achieve a design life of 25 years, followed by an asphaltic concrete (AC) wearing course of DG14 C450 40mm thickness. Gale Street, Coramba – Segment 2 is from the existing major patch to approximately 12m West of the Intersection. The segment length is approximately 239m with a variable width of approximately 11.5m. The scope of works is to renew approximately 2,582m2 of the existing pavement by in-situ stabilisation to a nominal depth sufficient to achieve a design life of 25 years, followed by an asphaltic concrete (AC) wearing course of DG14 C450 40mm thickness. Martin Street, Coramba is from the intersection of Gale Street to approximately 109m in a northerly direction. The segment length is approximately 109m with a variable width of approximately 10.0m. The scope of works is to renew approximately 1,061m2 of the existing pavement by in-situ stabilisation, followed by a 14/7 double double spray seal. Note that Martin Street, Coramba was added to this RTR project, due to its close proximity to Gale Street, and the recent completion of drainage upgrades which includes new kerb and channel.

Whalers Road, Encounter Bay - 133409-25SA-RTR
Unsafe wearing surface and inadequate stormwater management.Full pavement reconstruction, kerb and gutter to both sides of the road and enlarged stormwater infrastructure (including reinforced concrete pipes and side entry pits). Project will be funded by R2R ($437,834) and Council ($1,407,166).Total cost of proposed project is $1,845,000
