Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

BR.2297, Cable Station Rd, Frazer River, Naracoopa - Bridge on Rural Road - 134194-25TAS-RTR
Annual inspection revealed significant deterioration of timber girders, resulting in structural weakness. A 10-tonne load limit had to be imposed, restricting access for heavy vehicles and impacting Rutile and Sand Mines operations.Replaced 4 timber girders and carried out associated maintenance works, bringing the bridge back to specification. The 10-tonne load limit was removed, restoring normal operations. These works have extended the bridge’s service life by approximately 10 years. Bridge upgrade works (Out of total project cost $136,666, King Island Council allocation is $69,986 and cost to RTR is $66,680)Total cost of proposed project is $136,666
Collie River Road, (Rural Road) - 134196-25WA-RTR
Existing timber bridge failing to provide access for local resident(s). Replace current timber bridge with new steel bridge structure. Current funding arrangement for construction as follows: RTR: $1,080,000 (special allocation for bridges - WA) Shire of Harvey: $375,000 (committed) Shire of Dardanup: $125,000 (committed) MRWA: $220,000 The full project value is $2,735,123, of which an additional $935,123 in RTR funding is sourced from the council's own 2024-29 RTR allocation. Due to the two streams of RTR funding, this is entered under a separate project ID:135330-25WA-RTR.

Deteriorating road surface at the end of its useful life.Surface restoration by bitumen reseal of the existing road surface. Road to be resealed with a double coat 10/5 spray seal treatment
Shelfo Road (Rural Road) - 054059-14QLD-RTR
The crossing washes out every year due to inadequate drainage, no scour protection of roadway formation limiting access.Reinstate roadway and provide rock & concrete batter protection to embankment. Reinstate drainage paths and provide additional drainage structures where required.
Margaret Avenue, Port Lincoln - 134212-25SA-RTR
Damaged kerbing and deteriorating road surface at the end of its useful life.Repair damaged kerbing and surface restoration by bitumen reseal of the existing road surface. Road to be resealed with a double coat 10/5 spray seal treatment
