Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

This intersection is included in Griffith City Council’s Heavy Vehicle Bypass Strategy. It has a history of accidents occurring due to poor alignment, and poor visibility at intersections and curves due to constraints of irrigation and drainage structures, water, sewer, electricity and gas assets. It is included in Council's proposed Heavy Vehicle Bypass Strategy and is a crucial link in the development of an alternative bypass for heavy vehicle trafficConstruct a large 5-way rural roundabout as Stage 1 of Griffith City Council's Heavy Vehicle Bypass, including realignment and construction of road pavement approaches to the intersection, adjustment of utilities and services including irrigation and drainage structures, electricity, streetlighting and water supply.Total cost of proposed project is $2,023,779
Four Mile Road (Rural Road) - 065853-16QLD-RTR
Major issues with deterioration of concrete structures and bridge seal layer.Design and construction - Crack sealing and surface coating of deteriorated areas and seal replacement.
Cooper Road, Bilbul (Urban) - 065854-16NSW-RTR
Cooper Road is an urban street in the village of Bilbul. The road pavement is failing due to poor drainage, resulting in corrugations & potholing. The surface becomes dusty and dangerous in dry conditions with poor visibility.Construct and seal Cooper Road between Ferguson Road and Bilbul Road for a length o 0.616km. Cooper Road will be constructed to a formation width of 8.6m with a sealed width of 7.4m (2 x travel lanes each at 3.1m width and .6m sealed shoulders.Total cost of proposed project is $381,494
Woodstock Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149 - 065857-16VIC-RTR
Woodstock Road is a concrete road that was constructed around 1929-1930 and is now in poor condition with significant cracks and a large number of patches that are increasing in number over time as parts of the road fail. The northern section has been reconstructed on 2015/16. The remaining section between Sherwood Drive and Virginia Street has an existing surface that is very rough in a number of locations. The drainage of the road is poor with areas where water ponds.The reconstruction of the existing concrete road pavement to address its current poor condition and drainage concerns. The road will be sloped to allow it to drain correctly into the existing kerb and channel which was reconstructed earlier in an attempt to correct this fault. The road width is to be maintained as the kerb and channel is not being removed. The length of road being reconstructed in Virginia Street is approx. 93m in length.Total cost of proposed project is $66,297
Sherwood Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149 - 065858-16VIC-RTR
Sherwood Road is a concrete road that was constructed around 1929-1930 and is now in poor condition with significant cracks and a large number of patches that are increasing in number over time as parts of the road fail. The existing surface is very rough in a number of locations.The reconstruction of the existing concrete road pavement to address its current poor condition and improve the drainage of the road surface. The road will be sloped to allow it to drain correctly into the existing kerb and channel which was reconstructed earlier in an attempt to correct this fault. The road width is to be maintained as the kerb and channel is not being removed. The length of road being reconstructed in Sherwood Road is approx. 745m in length.Total cost of proposed project is $579,777
