Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Chip Seal reaching end of life. New procedures require road reconstruction to facilitate safe movement of commercial boats to the light industrial area. Storm water flooding needs to be addressed.Realign Old Knight Terrace to provide safe transport of commercial fishing boats to the light industrial area. Formalise on-street parking and footpaths for safe pedestrian access to and from businesses in the vicinity and replace kerbs as required. Install subterranean drainage to alleviate storm water flooding.

Golden Downs Road, (rural road) - 067507-16QLD-RTR
This road receives traffic from local grain and cattle properties, connecting traffic as well as being a significant school bus route. The current gravel/black soil road surface deteriorates during heavy rainfall and can be unsafe for road users and not trafficable for periods of time.Overlay of 150-300mm of new gravel pavement and two coat bitumen seal. Includes replacement floodway, construction of 6 x new 8m wide concrete floodways, a 40m concrete margin and 2 x 600mm RCP's within this section of road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,779,712
Lindsay Street, Katherine - 067508-16NT-RTR
Existing luminaire light output is well below the P4 and P5 Australian Standards. The new luminaires will have an output of up to four times the existing luminaires.Replacement (supply) of street lighting equipment along the entire road network.

Rejuvenation required ie. the existing pavement is cracked and ageing and nearing the end of its useful life and a new seal needs to be applied to protect and rejuvenate the current seal to preserve the asset.Crack sealing then 10/7mm polymer modified bitumen reseal for straight line chainage 0 to 350 metres and from straight line chainage 500 metres to straight line chainage 3150 metres plus 150 metres of micro surfacing from straight line chainage 350 metres to straight line chainage 500 metres.
