Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Pavement nearing its useful asset life.Rejuvenation required ie. the existing asphalt surfacing is nearing the end of its useful life (has numerous cracking) and a new seal needs to be applied to protect and rejuvenate the current seal to preserve the asset.

existing road pavement is narrow, and has extensive pavement failuresReconstruction of 370m length of Old Station Road, Conningham between Channel Highway and the seawall including new pavement and 2 coat seal, stormwater drainage upgrade. Works will include some widening of road to cater for the amount of traffic utilising Old Station Road.Total cost of proposed project is $404,734
Kunama Drive, Kingston Boach - 067278-16TAS-RTR
A 400 metre section (approximately 2920 m2) of Kunama Drive between No. 15 (near Binya Court) and No. 49 has many road failures and requires frequent maintenance in the form of heavy patching and pothole repairs. The removal and replacement of the road pavement and wearing course together with installation of subsoil drainage along the kerb line of the south western side (high side) of Kunama Drive and at the pavement interface will resolve the issues requiring frequent maintenance.In accordance with Council’s strategic plan to maintain and upgrade existing assets it is proposed to remove and replace the road pavement and wearing course together with installation of subsoil drainage along the kerb line of the south western side (high side) of Kunama Drive and at the pavement interface. Existing damaged sections of kerb and channel or footpath will be reconstructed at the time of the works.Total cost of proposed project is $738,053
Mallee Hill Road (Rural Road) - 067346-16WA-RTR
Scheduled resealing works.Reseal the section of road from Straight Line Kilometre 3.880 to 5.180 using 10mm aggregate.Total cost of proposed project is $151,639
