Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

King Street, Charters Towers - 067937-16QLD-RTR
The road pavement has started to fail at the intersection and the seal is in poor condition.To stabilise the pavement at the intersection and reseal with asphalt.
Dotswood Road, rural road - 067938-16QLD-RTR
The existing seal has deteriorated due to wear and tearTo reseal the 3.8km section at the existing 4m width.
Barrack Street - Merridan - 067939-16WA-RTR
Correction of road defect: shoving, the existing road surface has developed serious defects that present a hazard to cyclists and pedestrian traffic. This section of the road is a primary crossing point for the local community accessing the shopping precinct from the carpark. Barrack Street is the main street of Merredin CBD. The shire has recieved compliants and reports of tripping by some elderley residents because of the height of the shoving defect.Remove the existing top road surface and replace with a dense graded asphalt.(Mill and overlay)

Deterioration of Asset due to road usage and heavy rain.Re-sheeting of 3.5kilometres of road with a pavement width of 3.8metres using 75mm of compacted gravel
Buckleboo Road (rural sealed road) - 067943-16SA-RTR
Current surface is worn with the bitumen degrading.Total of 11,325 square metres 14/7 mm & 10mm re-seals using S21 Bitumen.
High Street, Kimba - 067944-16SA-RTR
End of useful life of kerbing, footways and pavement.Installation of new kerbing, new footways and paving and re-seal of carriageway.
Bartletts Road, (Rural Road) - 067945-16NSW-RTR
The unsealed pavement has worn due to traffic movements to the point that no gravel is left, rather the road is basically natural material with no structure.Re-sheeting is undertaken to renew the pavement and wearing coarse on unsealed roads. Re-sheeting involves sourcing ridge gravel from a quarry, carting the material to site, spreading with a grader and compacting utilizing moisture and a vibrating roller.
Coxs Creek Road (Rural Road) - 067946-16NSW-RTR
