Project description
The project involved strengthening seven bridges on the Goulburn Valley Highway from Shepparton to Tocumwal.
Benefits
The project increases the load capacity of bridges on the Goulburn Valley Highway from 68 tonnes to 113 tonnes. This also reduces operating costs and provides greater flexibility for heavy vehicles operators.
Funding
The estimated cost of the project is $2.8 million. The Australian Government is contributing $2.29 million and the Victorian Government $571,683.00.
Timetable
Construction commenced 18 November 2016 and was completed on 30 June 2017.
