This project is expected to deliver targeted upgrades on the Hume Freeway between Watson Street in Wallan and the M80 Ring Road.

Upgrades on this section of the freeway are expected to reduce travel times, improve freight efficiency and support future traffic demand.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $50 million to this project.

Timetable

The Project is expected to commence construction in mid-late 2026 and be completed in mid-2028.
