Project description

Existing road lacks the infrastructure and road width to accommodate the significant volumes of cyclists utilising the road into Port Albert. This creates potential safety conflict points between motorists and cyclists travelling along the road.

Works to include the construction of a gravel 2.5m wide shared path within the road reserve to be utilised by both pedestrians and cyclists. These works form part of a bigger package of works, linking Port Albert into Alberton where the shared path will connect into the existing rail trail in the area.

Total cost of proposed project is $306,831
