Project description

Seal width does not meet Austroads Guide to Road Design and based on traffic volumes in excess of 1,000 vpd, requires a 7 metre seal with 2 x 1.5 metre shoulders. The narrow seal increases risk of sideswipe due to type of traffic - cars, boats,caravans. The narrow seal increases edge damage and breakage deteriorating and undermining the seal, this will become hazardous for traffic due to loose gravel.

Widen the seal and shoulders with an additional 2 x 300 mm edge seal and 2 x 1.5 metre shoulders.

Total cost of proposed project is $649,451
