Project description

The project involves the progressive sealing and upgrade of the Donohue Highway in Queensland. The project will seal the remaining 71 kilometres of the Outback Way from the QLD Border to Boulia.

Improved travel times and safety, improved efficiency and route reliability, improved freight productivity, improved connectivity between people with jobs and services, and goods with markets.

Funding

The Australian Government is fully funding the $441.5 million project.

Timetable

The project commenced in April 2023 and is expected to be completed in mid 2028.
