Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Calder Highway – Ravenswood Interchange
The project involved the consruction of a grade separated interchange at the intersection of the Calder Highway and Calder Alternative Highway at Ravenswood and two new freeway carriageways from Bullock Creek to Ravenswood Creek. The project also widened existing bridges and culverts, constructed new service roads and removed various uncontrolled at grade intersections.
Monash Freeway – High Street to Warrigal Road Intelligent Transport System
The project installed a Level 3 Intelligent Transport Systems on the 4.2km section of the Monash Freeway from High Street to Warrigal Road.
Werrington Arterial Road
This project upgraded Kent Road and Gipps Street to a four-lane dual carriageway linking the Great Western Highway and the M4 Motorway with east-facing entry and exit ramps on the M4. This project upgraded four existing intersections on Caddens Road, Sunflower Drive South, Sunflower Drive North and the Great Western Highway.
Warrnambool Intermodal Terminal
Upgrading and expansion of the intermodal terminal at Warrnambool and upgrade of Walsh Rd level crossing.
Blackwall Point Road, Chiswick - 051612-13NSW-RTR
Central trafficable pavement showing significant rutting and crocodile cracking due to the bus traffic which uses this road.Full depth asphalt rehabilitation of the failed trafficable lanes.Total cost of proposed project is $74,720
Collgar South Road (rural road) - 051819-14WA-RTR
Due to age of road and drainage system road and drainage is in poor condition.Reconstruct 4.54km of gravel pavement and reinstate drainage system.Total cost of proposed project is $41,389
Cunderdin Minnivale Road (Rural Road) - 051827-14WA-RTR
4 metre bitumen seal is breaking up and very potholed in numerous sections. The road is not wide enough for heavy vehicle trafficWiden running surface to 10m with a reconstructed 7.2m two coat bitumen seal. In October 2014 we will be carrying out the pruning works of vegetation to enable us to widen that section of road as it is very over grown. Then we will be commencing the gravel laying, wetmixing including cement stabilisation and sealing hopefully finishing by the end of November 2014.Total cost of proposed project is $275,000
Corella Creek Road (Rural Road) , Corella Creek Community - 051828-14NT-RTR
Gravel road which is high maintenance and subject to flooding. Dust is an issue for the community with the school and clinic on the main road.Full reformation and gravel sheeting and compaction of gravel pavement with two floodways and cattle grid. The bitumen seal applied.
Brights Road, East Nanango (Rural Road) - 051830-14QLD-RTR
This section of road is narrow for the amount of traffic that it caters. Dust complaints, high cost to regulary maintenance as a consequence of its location to Nanango. Low level of service for a school bus route. Extension of constructed and sealed network to serve the residents on the eastern fringe of NanangoUpgrade the unsealed section to a 6.5m wide bitumen sela road on a 8m formation with 2 coat seal.
Fisher and Moore Street, Kingaroy (Urban Street) - 051832-14QLD-RTR
Current intersection angles do not comply with standards. Poor observation angles for approaching traffic from each leg of intersection. A high volume of traffic, uses this intersection. Bus routs utilise 3 legs of the intersection and confusion with priority movements.Install roundabout and Geometric improvements to existing legs of intersection to assist with turning movements and road safety.
