Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Northern Territory Strategic Roads Package
Upgrades to various remote and regional roads across the Northern Territory, including the Mereenie Loop, Santa Teresa Road and access to Maningrida, Ramingining, and the Milingimbi mainland barge ramp.   Works will focus on all-weather access and improving year-round connections to services and opportunities for communities.   Projects will be determined in consultation with the Northern Territory Government. 
Baines Crescent, Torquay - 118526-21VIC-RTR
Localised pavement failures, minor loss of shape, structural cracking and surface texture issues noted along the length.Pavement patching design was completed after geotechnical testing which informed the tendering of works to undertake patch repairs along the length of road (i.e. excavate out the failed sections to a nominal depth then place back crushed rock layers and a asphalt final surface) and then a final 50mm asphalt seal for the whole section of roadTotal cost of proposed project is $174,000
Outback Way - Donohue Highway Progressive Sealing Package 3
The project involves the progressive sealing and upgrade of the Donohue Highway in Queensland. The project will seal the remaining 71 kilometres of the Outback Way from the QLD Border to Boulia.
Alsop Drive, Winchelsea - 118525-21VIC-RTR

Low lying flood prone area has caused road to become impassable at times and section has washed awayReconstruct and improve drainage and gravel sheet
Quelagetting Road (rural road) - 118528-21WA-RTR
Section of road is aligned through sand terrain and causing heavy and light transport to become bogged or stuckReconstruct of sandy section of road by 300mm of lateright gravel to provide a trafficable section for light and heavy traffic.
Nambling South Road (rural road) - 118530-21WA-RTR
Pavement failure due to heavy traffic servicing south west area of the shire which has resulted the road to be worn to clayReconstruct gravel sheet
Gardere Avenue, Curl Curl - 118533-21NSW-RTR
Ageing road pavement is distressed with cracks, patches and pot holes.Repair the pavement and resurface with asphaltic concrete.
