Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Seven Emu Property Access Road (Rural Local - Katherine) - 119684-22NT-RTR
The road is closed for several days during wet season due to the water over Seven Emu Creek crossing, causing road safety concern for the community and vehicles. This road supports cattle and transport industry and local community. Upgrading the creek crossing will provide a safer road environment, support economic development of the cattle industry and improve community connectivity.Upgrade gravel crossing by constructing 80 metre x 8 metre concrete floodway at Seven Emu Creek at chainage 24 kilometres.
Duncan Road (Rural Road) - 120072-22WA-RTR
Road formation and unsealed gravel surface is worn, degraded and losing shape. Drainage in area is poor and requires improving the function of the existing roadside drainage assets and constructing new roadside drainage.Reform and resheet road formation, upgrade roadside drainage including table drains and offshoot drains.

Subbase failure and pavement, narrow seal width.Wet Mix, cement slab 2km, culvert works, seal to 7 m, last years shoulders.

Newman to Katherine Corridor Upgrade (WA)
The Great Northern Highway in Western Australia forms part of the National Land Transport Network that connects Perth to the north of the state, including Port Hedland, Broome and Kununurra. The project will deliver targeted road upgrades along the Great Northern Highway through the following projects: • Newman to Port Hedland Overtaking Lanes; • Port Hedland Airport Deviation;   • Ord River North Section, Stage 3; and   • Broome to Kununurra.

Typical grain route with increased tourist traffic and farm access requirements.Widen and improve both vertical and horizontal sight distances. Road to be resheeted with processed rubble to improve road surface. Pavement and drainage will be improved on 5.57km of this road.Total cost of proposed project is $523,698
