Snowy River Way is a Regional Road that leads between Jindabyne and Bombala. During geotechnical investigations on recent projects, it has been noted that the pavement, primarily within the former Bombala Council area, is nearing the end of pavement life and will require work to bring the road to a serviceable condition. The current state of the road is it has deformed which requires rectification and is in need of urgent drainage improvement also. The work proposed on Snowy River Way is to provide a gravel overlay to the road pavement, providing greater pavement thickness. While construction is taking place, milling, and stabilising where required, of the existing road base will also take place to provide a consistently improved pavement. The start of construction would be 250m south of Springfield road intersection and terminating at 1250m north of Springfield road intersection. The total length considered under this program is 1.5km.
