Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

The road surface and footpath have reached the end of their useful lives and are in poor condition as a result. The kerb has been damaged by vehicle impact and there is a substantial section that requires replacement as a consequence. Water intrusion has undermined some sections of the road pavement.Replacement of existing kerb and channel and footpath, resealing of the road as well as rehabilitation of the pavement in some areas as needed. This involves 390m of footpath, 780m of K&C as well as 390m @6.5m wide road.Total cost of proposed project is $1,109,044
Stewart St, Broome - 120379-22WA-RTR
Stewart Street is a Local Access residential road linking Hamersley Street to Herbert Street. The section of Stewart Street from Weld Street to Hamersley Street had an extensive upgrade in 2016. A high-speed visual survey of the Broome road network was completed in 2018/2019 and the findings indicate that the pavement and seal in the remaining section of Stewart Street (Weld St to Herbert St) was failing and requires urgent rehabilitation. This section of Stewart Street currently consists of an un-kerbed 6m wide pavement with a bitumen seal stormwater is graded to the verge and then diverted to the network drainage system.It is proposed to upgrade the section of Stewart Street (Weld St to Herbert St) to a 7.0m wide bitumen pavement with semi mountable kerbing along both sides. Footpaths will be installed to provide safe pedestrian linkage to surrounding locations such as the Court House and into Chinatown.Total cost of proposed project is $743,998

Single seal failing / worn awaychip reseal, 2 coats including shouldering and vegetation control. Original SLK was 1.79 - 3.05. This was changed to 2.13-3.05 as a further asset inspection reduced area needing works.Total cost of proposed project is $125,000
