Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Sandstone Wiluna Road (rural road) - 120385-22WA-RTR
Series of floodways in low lying area requires the road to be raised to design road level, stabilisation of road material to eliminate water damage. Open drains currently constructed to be cleaned and extended to cope with flowing water in flooding events. Area to have works floodway situated at straight line kilometre 13.5 to 13.7. main section of project commences at straight line kilometre 15.39 and ending at straight line kilometre 19.11. Sides of road currently eroded by water, edges of road require filling to have road back on designed alignment.Addition of gravel to the road for road level correction and the correct road shape. Stabilise the added material for durability to eliminate road edge being eroded away. Clean out all current off road drainage of silted up material for better water flow, extending some drains.Total cost of proposed project is $510,071

Abercrombie Road (Rural) - 120393-22NSW-RTR
The existing bitumen pavement has failed at two location on the Abercrombie Road due to wet weather and heavy vehicle movements.The existing bitumen road pavement requires total rehabilitation works at both locations identified above, minor drainage construction works required. Bitumen Spray Seal will be applied following the completion of the road construction work.Total cost of proposed project is $800,000
Glenprairie Road, Marborough - 120397-22QLD-RTR
Unsafe travelling conditions and increased maintenance costs due to deteriorated road surface. The condition of the road becomes worse during rainy weather making it unsafe for the road traffic. This road had been identified under Council’s gravel road resheeting program, and was considered a priority during 2021/22 financial year, due to raising community concerns.Resheeting of the road surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $40,427
Paddy's Swamp Road, Maryvale - 120398-22QLD-RTR
Due to deteriorated road surface, travelling conditions of the sections of Paddy’s Swamp Road become unsafe. This also resulted increased maintenance costs for the Council. The condition of the road becomes worse during rainy weathe. During extended wet weather conditions, these sections of the road become almost untraversable for heavy vehiclesThis road had been identified under Council’s gravel road resheeting program, and was considered a priority during 2021/22 financial year, due to raising community and agricultural freight concerns.Resheeting of the roadTotal cost of proposed project is $34,763
A & J Farrs Road, Barmoya - 120400-22QLD-RTR
Due to deteriorated road surface, travelling conditions of the sections of A&J Farrs Road has become unsafe. This also resulted increased maintenance costs for the Council. The condition of the road becomes worse during rainy weather. The road had been identified under Council’s gravel road resheeting program, and was considered a priority during 2021/22 financial year, due to raising community and cattle industry freight concerns.Gravel resheeting of first 200m of A&J Farrs Road.Total cost of proposed project is $22,329
Waratah Avenue, Dalkeith - 120386-22WA-RTR
Structural cracking in the form of crocodile cracking, as well as oxidised surface elsewhere due to ageStabilised pavement and surface treatment works for Waratah Avenue Precinct upgrade and beautification including improved amenity of the road reserve and mediums New kerbs and Disability Access & Inclusion Planning complaint crossings and pathTotal cost of proposed project is $1,053,664
Nangkita Road (Rural road) - 120409-22SA-RTR
The road requires pavement strength improvement due to its failing pavement and poor drainage. This road is in a 100km/h zone and has a large amount of interaction between heavy vehicles and commuter vehicles. It requires an improvement of the road and shoulder strength and drainage to improve safety and to accommodate the increasing number ofheavy vehicles on this route.The work proposed includes pavement reconstruction and surface sealing of the 2 sections - Section 1 commences 521 m east of Victor Harbor Road through to Enterprise Rd (3.8 Km). Section 2 commences at Willowburn Dve through to Stone Ford Rd (1.6 Km). The new pavement and surface will be designed to be suitable for a long-term (future projections with growth) heavy vehicle loading of adequate pavement strength. The pavement strength will be improved by the proposed pavement strength methods (Constructing new pavement /Full Depth Asphalt and Foam Bitumen Stabilisation (FBS) with Granular Overlay plus 0.5m/1m sealed shoulders)Total cost of proposed project is $900,000
