Project description

Council has been fortunate to keep up with general maintenance however increased traffic and the need for larger vehicles means the current maintenance service levels are not enough. Recent audits have shown that Billiatt Road is nearing its end of seal life and will be needing a complete reseal over the next 2 to 5 years.

The work being proposed will entail undertaking shoulder widening of Billiatt Road over 10km which will increase the width of the road from 6.4, to a 7.6m seal. This will include new shoulder works constructed with imported rubble, compacted and trimmed for a 2- coat seal. The project will include a reseal of the existing road identified by an external road condition audit to address current road deficiencies.

Total cost of proposed project is $810,000
