Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Bowen Street, Narrabri - 127286-24NSW-RTR
The 120 metre drainage system, which is quite old, struggles to effectively manage excess water during periods of heavy rainfall, making it less reliable during wet weather.All existing kerb is to be replaced with 150 mm upright kerb.

Banjima Drive (rural road) - 053202-14WA-RTR
Banjima Drive has been sealed up to the 20 kilometre point and the continued sealing of the final 8 kilometres completes the sealing of the Shire owned length of this road. The existing road is gravel and grading is now difficult due to the rock exposure from years of grading and major rutting of the road. Use of the road has become a difficult for tourists especially those towing caravans accessing the campsites and a lot of damages to vehicles and caravans has been reported.Construct, stabilise and prepare for seal, then seal. Completion of required drainage, signage and guideposts.Total cost of proposed project is $1,700,000
Raglan Road, Mount Lawley - 127255-24WA-RTR
Extensive cracking and age deterioration of existing asphalt.Resurfacing, asphalt mill and fill.
Tagigan Road, Goomboorian - 127300-24QLD-RTR
Tagigan Road is a narrow single lane bitumen road, with gravel shoulders. Tagigan Road has been identified as having substandard width for the volume of traffic and vehicle speeds.Widening.
Violet Street, Narrabri - 127287-24NSW-RTR
The Level 2 inspection of Violet Street Bridge identified: Moderate cracking on the abutment headstocks; severe rotation and undermining of the wingwalls; loss of material from behind abutments; scour of piles at piers; moderate loss of fines on pier blade walls; and movement of bearings. Raising the level of the bridge and approaches above moderate/major flood will reduce the impact on staff resources and provide ongoing access for the community during floods. The new bridge will prevent the need for constant monitoring by Council during rain events, short notice removal of the guard rails and road closure. The removal of the existing timber bridge and replacement with a concrete and steel reinforced structure and approaches designed to increase flood immunity, It will be built in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Traffic for NSW specifications featuring unrestricted load capacity, dual traffic lanes with dual shared pathway on along both lengths and improved approaches (15 m wide x 64 m length). The Bridge will be funded with a joint grant from both the Australian and State Government for a total funding allocation of $5,000,000 under the NSW Betterment Program.
Busher Road, Dardanup West - 127289-24WA-RTR
Construction of a new local access road (Timber Road) as part of the Bunbury Outer Ring Road for use by Over Dimension heavy vehicles has reversed the traffic flow from previous (North-South) to new (South-North) direction. As a result, the turn radius of the intersection of Busher Road at Moore Road will be inadequate for the class of vehicles for which it is intended to be used.Relocate existing power pole to permit widening of intersection including installation of curb to left shoulder. Other funding sources: South West Regional Roads Group (RRG) ($294,000), Council Reserves ($15,519)Total cost of proposed project is $797,610
Wanourie Creek Road (Rural Road) - 127296-24NSW-RTR
The existing road is between two unsealed sections of road and makes the road inaccessible during wet weather.Construct a new seal between the two sealed sections to create more access for the road and residents. 360 m of gravel sheet topped with 10 mm of gravel, 450 m of natural soil formed up and topped with 200 m gravel, stabilised with lime at a depth of 200 m, 810 m sealed with two coat 14/10 mm hot seal.
Abercrombie Road, Oberon - 053207-14NSW-RTR
The road is narrow and dangerous. Large sections of the road have deteriorated greatly.Widen formation. Improve curves. Install culverts. Add base.Total cost of proposed project is $800,000
Hare Street, Carinda - 127291-24NSW-RTR
The street is past in service life and needs reconstruction. The seal is failing and creating potholes and pavement failures.Reconstruct the pavement with new imported gravel, stabilise and seal. The dimensions of the new seal are 80 m long x 7 m wide and a depth of 200 mm.
