Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Miram North Road (Rural Road) - 115634-21VIC-RTR
Pavement failures, rough undulating surface and loss of shape.Reconstruct section of road including rejuvenating the existing pavement, resheet with new pavement and apply primerseal.

Durlacher Street, Mount Tarcoola - 115651-21WA-RTR
The wearing surface show signs of deterioration. There are a number of cracks sealed. While new cracks are also present. There are also patches present along this section. Some areas are starting to display signs of rutting.Asphalt resurfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $261,240
Yardie Creek Road, Exmouth - 115658-21WA-RTR
Seal width does not meet Austroads Guide to Road Design and based on traffic volumes in excess of 1,000 VPD, requires a 7 metre seal with 2 x 1.5 metre shoulders. The narrow seal increases risk of sideswipe due to type of traffic – cars, boats, caravans and trucks. The narrow seal increases edge damage and breakage, deteriorating and undermining the seal, this makes road more hazardous for traffic due to loose gravel.Completion of road widening and shoulder 2 x 300mm edge seal and 2 x 1.5 metre shoulder SLK 0.00 to 28.50 Reseal of existing road from SLK 0.00 to 15.00.Total cost of proposed project is $1,250,000
Lomman Avenue, Newton - 115660-21SA-RTR
To address the structural integrity of the road pavement due to soil movement from very reactive soil. This road has a severe environmental deformation and cracking with moderate load induce cracking. Surface texture has a severe defect. Council's Pavement Management System has indicated that this road is warranted for total road reconstruction.The work will involve a full road reconstruction by total excavation of road base and replacement with a deeper granular pavement to ensure the structure and integrity of the road from possible future soil movement. The works include replacing existing kerbs, driveway, traffic control and improving the drainage system. The road pavement being treated is 466m in length and 7.4m in width.Total cost of proposed project is $736,100
Sprankling Avenue, Newton - 115661-21SA-RTR
To address the structural integrity of the road pavement due to soil movement from very reactive soil. This road has a severe environmental deformation and cracking with moderate load induce cracking. Surface texture has a severe defect. Nelyambo Road, (rural road) - 115637-21NSW-RTR
Low lying road over river flats with high clay content makes the road impassable while wet. The road has a tendency to go under water during a medium to high flood level along the Darling River.Gravel sections which make the road impassable when wet. Gravelling will also lift road 200mm above the existing ground surface level.
Moun Ding Street, Napranum - 115650-21QLD-RTR
Existing bitumen seal is aged and cracking, allowing water into the pavement and causing pavement failuresMinor patching of failed areas, improvement of the drainage to prevent water entering the pavement and a geotextile double double reseal Upgrading of relevant warning signageTotal cost of proposed project is $103,307
